President Obama unveils the fiscal year 2011 Budget, promoting job creation and the middle class while making tough choices to put America back on the path to fiscal sustainability. “I sent a budget to Congress for the coming year. It's a budget that reflects the serious challenges facing the country. We're at war. Our economy has lost 7 million jobs over the last two years. And our government is deeply in debt after what can only be described as a decade of profligacy,” he said Wednesday.

California Journal For Filipino Americans provides readers news about the Philippines. It also reports local news, consumer news, business news, community events, and updates from several government agencies, among others, that provide significant information of great interest to the Filipino community.
In May 2008, California Journal For Filipino Americans received the Award for Excellence in Journalism from the California Asian Pacific Islander Joint Legislative Caucus during a special Floor ceremony in the Assembly Chambers, California State Capitol.
In 1997, the Los Angeles Minority Business Opportunity Committee (MBOC) with the U.S. SBA presented this newspaper the Minority Media Award for journalistic excellence in the ethnic community.
In 1996, The California Journal For Filipino Americans was awarded as the Media Advocate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). It is a Federal Award acknowledging the efforts of this publication in dissemenating information vital to the growth of the small business community.
